Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your chosen username and password. Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are cryptographically hashed using PBKDF2 with 100,000 iterations and a unique random salt per user.
Birth Data (User-Provided): To generate your Vedic birth chart, you may provide your name, date of birth, time of birth, and city of birth. This data is processed entirely in your browser and is not stored on our servers.
Login & Access Logs: We record login timestamps, IP addresses, and success/failure status for security monitoring and to enforce login rate limits.
Session Data: We use server-side session tokens (stored in browser sessionStorage, not cookies) to maintain your authenticated state. Session tokens expire after 24 hours.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Authentication: To verify your identity and manage access to the platform.
- Security: To detect unauthorized access, brute-force attacks, and enforce login rate limits.
- Service Delivery: To generate and display your Vedic birth chart, planetary positions, Dasha periods, and astrological analysis.
- Platform Administration: To manage user accounts and invitation codes.
3. Data Storage & Security
- Account data is stored in an encrypted SQLite database on our secured VPS server.
- All data transmission is encrypted via HTTPS with TLS 1.2+ and HSTS enforcement.
- Passwords are hashed with PBKDF2-SHA512 (100,000 iterations) with per-user random salts.
- Birth chart calculations are performed client-side in your browser — birth data is never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
- Server access is restricted to SSH key-based authentication only.
4. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties. We may disclose information only if required by law, court order, or government regulation applicable in India.
5. Third-Party Services
Our website uses the following third-party services:
- Google Fonts — for typography (subject to Google’s Privacy Policy).
- Leaflet.js — for map-based city selection (open-source, no data collection).
- Let’s Encrypt — for SSL/TLS certificate issuance.
6. Your Rights Under the DPDP Act, 2023
As a Data Principal under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
